Algeria Urges-for UN sanctions over the Israeli Re-occupation Plan of Gaza

At an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council meeting in New York, on August 10th, Algeria’s Permanent Representative, Amar Bendjama, called for a decisive action and sanctions against the Israeli occupation over its plan to reoccupy Gaza and displace its population. Condemning the plan as a war crime within a broader pattern of mass killings, starvation, and forced displacement, Bendjama warned that the plan seeks to erase the Palestinian people and annihilate their future, urging the Council to break its silence and take a firm action to enforce international law and safeguard the Palestinian people's rights.
