As Algeria hosts the first International Conference on the Crimes of Colonialism in Africa, Radio Algeria International spoke with the Vice-Chair of the CARICOM Reparations Commission (CRC), Mr. Eric M. Phillips. In this interview, he explains how the conference is bringing together Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, and diaspora communities to develop a unified global strategy on reparations. He highlights the importance of the Algiers Declaration, the need for coordinated action, and the broader vision of justice that includes education, health, cultural restitution, and psychological healing for communities affected by centuries of colonialism and slavery
